MEMBERSHIP

There shall be three categories of memberships: General Member, Honorary Member, and Associate Members. To become a member, a completed membership form must be submitted to the Association and dues paid (contingent on the category of membership). Eligibility for membership shall be outlined in the respective categories of membership. In all cases, membership is granted after completion and receipt of a membership application and Annual dues.

The obligations and/ or privileges of each member class is outlined below:

General Members

• All persons who are Alumni of CHS can and may apply to become a Member.
• Each Member is entitled to the full privileges of membership of the Association as determined by the Executive Board from time to time.
• Each Member MUST pay their Association dues on or before the deadline outlined under Article 5 in order to retain their status as a Member of the Association.
• Members are subject to all the rules and regulations of the Association.

An Honorary Member

• An Honorary Member is not an alum but has made notable contributions to the Association.
• Only persons receiving an invitation from the Executive Board of the Association may be recognized as an Honorary Member.
• Invitees to this category of membership will be selected by a two-thirds majority vote of the Executive Board.
• An Honorary Member will not be required to pay membership dues but may offer to give contributions at their discretion.
• An Honorary Member is entitled to the full privileges of membership of the Association except:
o Voting
o Making motions
o Holding office
• Honorary Members are subject to all the rules and regulations of the Association.

Associate Member

  • An Associate Member shall be any person who is not a past student of CHS who wants to help the Association fulfill its mission.
  • Only persons receiving an invitation from the Executive Board of the Association may apply to become an Associate Member.
  • Invitees to this category of membership will be selected by a majority vote of the Executive Board.
  • An Associate Member will not be required to pay membership dues but may offer to give contributions at their discretion.
  • An Associate Member shall be entitled to all the privileges of membership of the Association except:
    • Voting
    • Making motions
    • Holding office
